One of my peeve about making earrings is that I love the flat beads, but they twist when worn. I know that some wire the back to prevent this from happenin, but I found a rather easy way to make this happen.
This works only on beads that put on a head pin meaning the last bead dangle.
Instead of a head pin use an eye pin.
Bend the tip in U shape.
The width of the u depends on the bead size. 1/2 the thickness of the bead.
The loop works like a flat paddle and keeps the bead from twisting, and it's shows very little.
On an earwire,
Finished charm/bead. This will keep the bead from twisting around.
Leave me a comment if you tried it and if it worked for you.
Brilliant! I had this problem just last weekend! Now I know how to fix it 🙂
Good idea , I'll give it a try.
